1. Meaning of gourmet products
Gourmet products are exquisite products and would be the opposite of consumer and industrial products that we find in large supermarkets. The fringe that separates one from the other is undefined and depends on each person.
A gourmet product is associated with craftsmanship, quality and exclusivity. Factors that make a difference and enhance the essence of the gourmet category.
Gourmet products are associated with more expensive prices, but if we look at them from a nutritional, freshness and taste point of view, a gourmet product is much more interesting than industrial mass consumption products, although each product should be analysed.
2. Gourmet products
Gourmet products include all types of food. Some are so rare and of such high quality that they will only be considered gourmet. In this extreme of quality and exclusivity we could name the caviar. Other products are considered gourmet although their exclusivity is low, such as legumes of Spanish origin.
3. Where to buy gourmet products?
You can buy gourmet products in a large number of places: large supermarkets, gourmet shops, online shops.
Buying a gourmet product should be more than acquiring an exquisite, exclusive and quality product. It is also knowing what you eat, how you prepare yourself, its history, information that only a specialized store like El Cortijuelo de San Benito can give you.
