5. Properties of turron
Depending on the ingredients of the Turron, we will have some properties or other. The healthiest are the traditional almond and dark chocolate turrons.
All of them are very calorific due to their high vegetable fat and sugar content.
Almond turrón is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Among its fatty acids, it stands out for its high content of linoleic acid, an essential fat for our body that we do not produce ourselves. Another of its important characteristics is that it has no cholesterol at all.
Almond turrón also provides us with proteins, essential amino acids, vitamins (A, E and part of the vitamin B complex) and mineral salts (potassium and phosphorus).
