1. Extra virgin olive oil of the lechín variety
Let’s read the most important characteristics of lechin variety.
a) Agronomy
The lechin variety has a high productivity. However, it is not very good for mechanized harvesting. It has also regulary bearing.
b) Aroma
The lechin extra virgin olive oil has a medium intensity. Also, it is a balanced oil with very little bitterness and spiciness.
c) Where does it grow?
The variety of lechín is cultivated mainly in Sevilla, Córdoba and Cadiz. Also, you can find lechin groves in Almeria. It is not a very cultivated variety, for this reason, there are not large lechin groves extensions.
d) Other Spanish names
The lechin variety is also called: Zorzaleño, Lechino, Ecijano and Lechin.

2. Where to buy olive oil?
The lechin extra virgin oil is not to easy to find. Only a few mills produce this monovarieyal olive oil. However, we offer this olive oil from the following producers.
a) Oro del Desierto mill
Currently, we only work with the olive oil mill of Oro del Desierto. This mill produces extra virgin olive oil from lechín variety in organic production. This mill are involved in all steps from harvesting to bottling. Also, they produce sustainably and support rural economy and floral and animal diversity in theirs groves.
