1. Denomination of Origin of Valencia
The Valencia Denomination of Origin protects the unique characteristics of its extra virgin olive oils.
a) Characteristics of Valencia
Valencia is also a province bordering the Mediterranean Sea and stands out for its innovation and quality in the agricultural sector. Within agriculture, the olive oil sector also stands out, from where we bring our oil from Valencia.
Within the Valencian Community, we have the province of Castellón. A beautiful province that combines in perfect harmony the mountain with the sea. Likewise, its crystalline and clean waters caress its natural mountainous landscape of indescribable beauty.
b) Olive groves in Valencia
In the Community of Valencia there are almost 100,000 hectares of olive groves, located especially in the interior of the community. Of all these, the majority follow extensive and dry farming techniques. Although there is production in irrigated and intensive.
c) Orography
The Valencian Community is made up of a flat area of plains and plateaus made up of alluvial land. At the same time it is integrated by its Mediterranean coastline.
