Bluefin tuna was in danger of extinction a decade ago, but thanks to the efficient campaigns they have carried out in recent years, bluefin tuna has recovered enormously and we can often find it in fish shops and canneries. The trunk would be the central part of the tuna, and would be an intermediate part in relation to the fat content. Bluefin tuna, like all other tunas, are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help our circulatory system and heart function well. It has a high content of high biological value proteins, vitamins and minerals. The vitamins are mainly of the B group; B2, B3, B6, B9 and B12.
An ideal preserve for the preparation of gourmet dishes typical of the Mediterranean diet, such as salad, empanadas and empanadillas, or as an aperitif.
