Raw arbutus honey
Arbutus honey has a dark amber colour which when crystallised takes on an earth brown colour.
The arbutus honey is harvested in summer. The harvest is homogeneous over time although it is negatively affected by the great heat and is favored by the morning dew.
This honey has a characteristic aroma and smell of dry wood, less persistent and intense than that of eucalyptus honey with a bitter touch.
This honey takes several months to crystallize and does so in a fine way
Like all honey, strawberry tree honey has a great antiseptic capacity and is recommended to fight against diarrhea.
Arbutus honey goes well with coffee and baked meat

Arbutus honey of Rancho Cortesano has been packaged in a glass jar that when crystallized can take on the surface white colors due to its natural crystallization. To transform it into a liquid, we must put it in the bain-marie or in the microwave, although I recommend the bain-marie. Once liquid, store in a warm place to delay crystallization.
The honey is usually put two years of preferential consumption, but if well preserved, endures a lifetime. In the case of Madroño honey, it loses its bitterness over time.
