f) Origin

Because we sometimes have difficulty in obtaining it, honeycomb honey can be brought from different beekeepers.

2. Benefits and properties of honeycomb honey

Honey in honeycomb has the benefits of all the components it contains. In shrot, honey provides antiseptic, bactericidal and healing properties; propolis bactericidal and antioxidant properties, and wax antioxidant astringent properties.

When the honey comes into the honeycomb, we must cut it with a spoon, and once taken a piece, put it in our mouth and chew it. Secondly, chew until all the honey has been extracted. Then expel the remaining wax and propolis that have remained in the mouth and have not been digested.

Moreover, chewing on a piece of honeycomb has great dental health benefits, prevents or cures bad breath and removes nicotine stains in smokers.

6. Frequently asked qustions

Finally, these are the questions we are often asked about this product:

  • Where should it be kept, in the fridge?

Honeycomb honey should not be kept in the fridge unless you have problems with ants. However, it should be kept in a cool place away from strange smells.

  • Do I eat the wax?

You can swallow the wax, but it will be expelled, as it is not digested in the stomach. For this reason, I recommend spitting it out.

  • Is the wax inside raw?

Logically yes, it is the way the bees leave it, so it is not subjected to any treatment.

  • Is it sold in Carrefour, Mercadona, El Corte Inglés and other supermarkets?

We would probably only find this honey in specialised honey shops such as ours in Las Rozas de Madrid.

  • Do you supply the complete comb?

Yes, we can supply the complete comb on request.
