Olive wood chopping board
If you want to keep your chopping wood as good as new for many years, it is advisable to follow the following curing process.
Curing consists of spreading the board three times with oil and letting it dry. The oil penetrates the wood fibers avoiding the entry of bacteria and microbes. Once cured, each time you use the board, wash it thoroughly by rubbing it with a scourer and soap or detergent.
Olive wood has no pores and is very hard and resistant to the formation of cuts and crevices due to its use, making it the most suitable wood for chopping. Boards made of other more porous and less hard materials can be a source of microbes and bacteria. We recommend the following steps for all of them.
Before using the tablet for the first time, it must be cured and cleaned thoroughly before use. If you have cracks and crevices do not use it for food, because it fills the cracks and scratches of colonies of microbes and bacteria.
