1. What does the honey diet consist of?

The honey diet consists of 8 dietary guidelines:

  1. A warm glass of lemon juice and one or two spoonfuls of honey on waking and before going to bed.Replace sweetener completely with honey.
  2. Eliminate potatoes from your diet.
  3. There is no limit to vegetables.
  4. Eat only two pieces of fruit a day.
  5. Introduce some protein-rich food into your daily diet.
  6. Eliminate all refined foods.
  7. Eliminate cereals.

At first glance, this diet looks like a diet that restricts the consumption of many foods and substitutes honey for any sweeteners.

2. Is this diet suitable?

From my point of view, honey is a fantastic food with a lot of beneficial properties for our health. However, honey is not a cure-all panacea. In the end, honey is mainly made up of carbohydrates, which, if consumed in excess, will lead to weight gain. It is therefore a good idea to replace other sweeteners, especially sugar, with honey, and the other way round is to consume too much honey.

3. Does this diet work?

The honey diet is a diet similar to other diets with high protein and low carbohydrate intake. According to the author, this type of diet has helped thousands of people to improve their health and lose weight.

In addition, this diet adds all the fantastic properties that honey provides.

4. Other recipes with honey

On the internet, we also find other recipes that contain honey and can help us to lose weight, among them we have:

a) Oatmeal smoothie with honey

This is a very quick drink that will give us a lot of energy, nourishes and satiates us.

Ingredients:

  • A large cup of water, about 300 ml.
  • A banana from the Canary Islands
  • ! spoon of honey
  • 4 spoonfuls of natural oat flakes

Preparation:

First you must place the oats with the water, and wait at least 5 minutes for the oats to hydrate. Once the oats are hydrated, remove the water and add the banana and honey. Finally, we can serve it in a glass and drink it whenever we want.

This smoothie is a fantastic food, which according to some influencers is fantastic for slimming.
