Coriander honey is a natural product made by bees from the nectar of the flowers of the coriander plant, “Coriandrum sativum” in its scientific name. This plant belongs to the apiaceae family.

1. Our Raw coriander honey

Cilantro honey is a very rare honey in Spain that has the following characteristics:

  • Colour:

Cilantro honey has a somewhat dark amber colour, and when crystallised it takes on a brown amber colour.

  • Aroma

In tasting, you can appreciate its soft aroma, which when introduced into the mouth, the first sensations that produce reminiscent of floral notes, then emerges in the retronasal a more aromatic and pleasant aroma.

  • Coriander plant

Cilantro is an annual cultivated herb that resembles parsley, which takes a height of up to 40 to 60 cm. Since ancient times cilantro has been used and continues to be used as a condiment and as a medicinal plant. Its origin is not known exactly, but it probably originates from the Eastern Mediterranean (Greece) and the Middle East.

  • Flowering and harvesting

This plant flowers from May and its flowers are white, so in early summer its honey is collected.

Our raw Cilantro honey is obtained from our beekeeper who has placed his hives in the Sierra de Andújar, in Córdoba.
