Man takes it away from the bees, and the bees benefit from man’s protection, because if the bees are not treated, they would disappear because of diseases. 1. Properties of fresh and dry pollen

Pollen is made up of proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, antibiotic agents and antioxidants. It contains vitamins of the B complex (B1, B2, B6), A, C, D and K, essential amino acids: histidine, leucine, isolecucine, tryptophan, valine, lysine, methionine, threonine and phenylalanine, minerals such as: potassium, magnesium, calcium, silicon, phosphorus, manganese, sulphur, copper, iron and chlorine.

Pollen has a high nutritional value and numerous benefits for our health. Its properties are going to be greater in fresco. Here we summarize the most important properties of pollen:

  • It acts as an intestinal regulator for patients suffering from constipation or chronic diarrhoea.
  • It increases the rate of hemoglobin in the blood, advisable for anemic people.
  • Reconstitutes and stimulates the cerebral activity, advisable to fight against depressions, irritability and neurasthenia.
  • It improves appetite, increases weight and strength in weak and convalescent people. It is a notorious euphorizer.
  • Prevents prostatitis, prostate problems and sexual apathy.

2. Can diabetics take it?

According to several internet sources, pollen is very beneficial for type 1 and 2 diabetics, as pollen provides a large amount of vitamins and minerals. Therefore, it strengthens the health of these people.

3. Price of bee pollen

The price of bee pollen has risen considerably in recent years due to the years of drought we are suffering. However, its price is usually around 30 euros per kilo. If it is organic, its price is higher, around 40 euros per kilo. These are the prices of dry pollen. Fresh pollen is more expensive and weighs more than dry pollen, as it also contains water.
