Pollen properties

Polen recolectado por una abeja

Pollen is the male element of flowering plants, presented as microscopic grains within the anthers of the stamens. Under a wrap resistant to degradation, the pollen contains the essential nutrients, which the bees use to feed themselves. This pollen collected by bees undergoes lactic fermentation, losing its ability to germinate and develops antibiotic properties.

If you want to buy a fresh or dry quality pollen, you will find it in our shop in Las Rozas de Madrid or in our online shop. We have at your disposal conventional, ecological, fresh and dry pollen, together with the largest variety of pure honey in Spain.

Does pollen fatten?

If your concern is whether the pollen is fattening, I wouldn’t turn it around because of the small amount it consumes. The recommended amount is a level soup spoon.

On the other hand, pollen contains lecithin, a satiating compound. By consuming pollen, one feels satiated and will therefore eat less and lose weight.

If you want to lose weight, we recommend taking about ten minutes of any meal take a tablespoon of pollen.
