The name of Castillo de Canena comes from their family home, a Renaissance castle located in Canena, a town of Jaén. This region has a unique history that stars with the Arab tribe of Banu Kinana. They used the ruins of a Roman settlement to build this castle. Later, during the Reconquest, the military order the Calatrava used this building as a defensive fortress to fight for the Christianity.
Now, it was turned as a castle-palace as a family home and for the turists and thier friends. Also, it can be visited from Monday to Friday.

Furthermore, Canena town is located between Sierra Magina and Sierra Cazorla and very close to the cities of Úbeda and Baeza, in Jaén. One province of Analusia, in Southern of Spian.
